This site shows ingenious creative individuals and their projects to the world. They ask for small donations to "kick start" their project, and in return you get gifts from them. I really like the site and you should definitively check it out!
The project in this video really stood out to me. It use the imput of the communtiy (which is essential in any project that affects that community) to decide where urban development should happen. It also uses inspiring pictures to show the community abandoned building's potential. The project seems like the perfect blend of art and activism.
